June 6:  I’ll be helping out at Prose in the Park, the Ottawa literary festival and book fair, being held in Parkdale Park, Ottawa 11a.m. to 5 p.m.  I’ll be handing out some promotional items regarding my upcoming book A Jacketing Concern.

June 25: I’ll be reading from my book A Jacketing Concern, September 22 this year, at the annual Readers’ Night of Ottawa Independent Writers  at Good Companion Senios Centre,  Albert Street, Ottawa.

June 26-28: I’ll be attending the OIW annual retreat and workshop at the Galilee Centre, Arnprior.  No cell phones, no emails, no facebook — just writing.  Ah bliss!

October 30:  I’ll be talking about my writing at Arts Night at The First Unitarian Church of,Ottawa, 36 Cleary Street starting at 7.30 pm. Arts Night is held on the last Friday of the month except in summer. Three artists — literary, musical and visual — each give a 20- minute presentation about their work.  No prizes for guessing which artist I will be!


May 13-15: Writers’ retreat and workshop at Galilee Centre, Arnprior , Ontario. Three days go just writing in wonderfully peaceful country setting.  No phones, no emails, no Facebook etc. just writing and talking about writing with other local writers.  Ah bliss!

May 29 :Another workshop. This time at the Nepean Sportsplex, Ottawa with writer, author editor and writing coach Brian Henry. The subject?  Writing for children and young adults.  Have’t done anything serious about that yet but I do have a children’s story I wrote years ago that I think I’ll  brush up.
